Talk of the town : Organ donation in Hong Kong
【明報專訊】Currently, Hong Kong has adopted an "opt-in" (自願加入) system for organ donation. This system requires individuals who wish to donate their organs after death to proactively register their intention by signing up for the Centralised Organ Donation Register (中央器官捐贈登記名冊). However, even if an individual is registered, family consent remains mandatory for organ donation from a deceased donor.
