Three PLA barracks to open for public visits
The People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison will open three barracks to the public late this month to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong SAR. The open days of the barracks were arranged to enhance the communication and exchanges between the PLA garrison and all sectors in society, it said. The Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks will open from 9am to 2pm on June 20 and June 21. Shek Kong Barracks will open from 9am to 2pm on June 27 and June 28, while the San Wai Barracks will open from 2pm to 6pm on the same days. Activities will include flag-raising ceremonies, military equipment displays and training experiences. The PLA Hong Kong garrison said 25,000 free tickets would be distributed through its WeChat official account between Tuesday and Thursday. Edited by Tony Sabine
